A Night at the Ballet

Last night, I went to see “The Nutcracker Suite” at the Segerstrom Center, in Orange County. I was especially excited to see this particular performance because Misty Copeland was dancing. Misty Copeland is the first African-American woman to be promoted to principal dancer in the American Ballet Theater. She is strong, athletic, and beautiful. Her performance was exquisite as well as incredibly controlled and precise. Years of training and practice were evident; watching her was inspirational to say the least. Seeing her made me wonder, what might I be capable of achieving if I had dedication such as Misty’s? What might you achieve were you to set your mind to it?
