ODES

An ode is a celebration of someone or something. It is a poem that praises or extols the virtues of a person, place, or thing. Ode is a poetic form that can be generalized as a formal address to someone or something. There are three types of odes: Horatian, Pindaric, and Irregular.Some famous odes include: “Ode On a Grecian Urn” and “Ode To a Nightingale” both by John Keats and “Ode to Duty” by William Wordsworth.

We are going to start writing odes on Friday, February 26th.

Instructions will be explained in class, and the assignment will also be posted in google docs. Just use your class code to access.
