8th GRADERS & PARENT/GUARDIAN

Dear Parent/Guardian:

We are now in the home stretch, and the end is in sight. Let me be the first to congratulate you on successfully making sure your child was eligible to attend promotion and all of the 8th grade activities planned for them.

Tomorrow, your child will be outside in the sun for about 3 hours. Promotion practice lasts just under two hours, and there is an awards assembly afterward, which is another 55 minutes or so. Please encourage your child to wear sunscreen and bring a bottle of water.

On Wednesday, the students who are going to Knott’s will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Remind them to wear and reapply sunscreen throughout the day. Additionally, staying hydrated is important. They can bring an empty water bottle and refill it throughout the day. On Thursday morning, there will be more time in the sun as students do a review of promotion. Sunscreen and water!

On Friday, a picnic has been planned for all 8th graders who are eligible. Included in the picnic is a TACO TRUCK LUNCH, GAMES, PRIZES, BOTTLED WATER, AND MORE. Students do not need any money for the picnic. Everything is FREE!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

Once again, a heartfelt congratulations to you and your family on this most auspicious occasion! It has been my honor and pleasure to have your son or daughter as my student. I wish them all the best for the future.

Best regards,

Karin Warzybok, Ed.M.
